ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Answers telephone, routes calls, and takes messages. Greets visitors and dispenses information as needed. Using knowledge of public assistance programs, provides information to and/or collects the required documentation needed to assist in the eligibility process of such programs; responds to more specific customer questions requiring additional research and routes inquiries appropriately for more complex matters. Reads, logs, and distributes incoming correspondence; locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by the department. Prepares outgoing correspondence, including mail, e-mail and faxes and makes distribution as required. Provide support to Economic Security team by starting new public assistance application process, recording renewal paperwork received, etc. Composes and types routine correspondence and documents. Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other records. Assists with administrative duties as necessary including making deposits with County Treasurer. Coordinates department schedules and makes appointments. Conducts research, collects information, compiles and types reports, and submits for proper disposition. Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records and transcribes minutes of meetings. Operates office equipment to include FAX transmissions and making copies of correspondence or other printed materials. Scans and uploads documents as required. Issues EBT cards. Attends training and department meetings when required. Performs other related job duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); and one (1) year of general office and/or customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Requirements Requires possession of a valid, State of Colorado driver’s license. Employment verification and criminal background check required.
